Eric Dynamite, the woodlouse, is back to guide us through another hilarious adventure in Grimwood. Fox cub siblings Ted and Nancy are back with an all-new wildly funny story that will have children (and their grown-ups) laughing out loud.
In Grimwood: Let the Fur Fly, Ted and Nancy are happily settled in Grimwood, the forest where anything can happen, with their new friends. But when a stranger arrives and threatens to destroy Grimwood forever, it is up to the gang to save the home they love. A mysterious new fox, a daring new mission and glitter cannons galore, what more could you want from an early chapter book! Well… with Let the Fur Fly, you also get wonderfully humorous illustrations, fantastically well chosen language to create, action, pace and adventure and genuine laugh out loud moments. Who wouldn't want to be in Grimwood?
I know that this is another in Nadia's wonderful Grimwood series that will fly off the shelves. It was one that I needed to read cover to cover and could not put down. In school I would use this as a class story, a guided reading focused text or a child's individual reading book. This text could start some wonderful discussions about the use of illustrations, word choice and character development.
