But will it be enough to persuade them?

Lucy
Another animal adventure story to hook in the young animal lovers! This story follows Jaya and her friends who love playing with the puppies (Peanut, Coco, Bonnie, Teddy, Minnie and Dash) at Puppy Club together. They are all puppy obsessed (as are many of the children I teach!) and enjoy meeting up to share stories, pictures and fun facts together. When one of the dogs at Puppy Club has puppies, the children do everything in their power to persuade their parents to let them have a dog of their very own.
This book is perfect for early readers who are building their speed and stamina with chapter books. Its large font, big illustrations and short chapters mean it's accessible for those children who are just beginning to branch out into lengthier books. It will also really appeal to many children who love animals, many of whom are in the same situation as Jaya and her friends who are desperate for their own dog. I can already think of a list of puppy-mad children in my class who will be desperate to get their hands on it!
