Five Little Ghosts is an enticing Halloween read for the youngest readers! This board book mimics the traditional tale of Five Little Ducks but with a halloween twist. Mummy Ghost keeps losing her little ghosts but, thankfully, they all return at the end of the story.

Each page has illustrations filled with spooky objects for children to learn more about halloween. There’s something for busy fingers to enjoy on each page which will help to develop fine motor skills and keep them interested. These include spinners, pull along levers and pop up/out pictures. My little boy, who is two, really enjoyed the final page where all five little ghosts appear again from behind the big, orange door.

This would be a nice book for young siblings to enjoy at home together or to be used at school, perhaps in an early years setting to celebrate halloween.
