Vehicles is one of two in a series written by Okidokid – the other being People.

Vehicles is an interactive, sturdy, lift-the-flap board book brought to us by Little Tiger. Little Tiger have yet again provided us with a chunky board book perfect for little hands with interactive elements to promote hand-eye co-ordination and fine motor skills.

This is the newest amongst many other vehicle lift the flap books available to purchase but Liuna Virardi’s illustrations make this book a sure winner! Her artwork is quirky and bold as she uses contrasting colours and many shapes to make up the illustrations. This is appealing for an audience who may be learning their first colours and shapes as they could engage in a fun game to spot them on each page.

In this book, not only do we learn about different vehicles and engage with a variety of colours and shapes, your little one can also learn their first opposites.  There is an adjective on each page which provides vocabulary that our little ones may be beginning to learn the meaning of, for example, a 'slow' bicycle and a 'fast' train. Another great thing about this book is that the vibrancy of the artwork is so engaging for babies too.

I just know this is going to be a book that my eight-month-old will enjoy for months and years to come - a great investment!
