Reviews

Sue

What's That Noise? Cheep! is a very colourful little board book which offers a mixture of engaging sounds and flaps to lift. Esme, now crawling with great enthusiasm, sped across the room to investigate this new book. Having firmly planted herself, she set about turning the pages which are sturdy enough for little fingers to be able to grip. As she flapped the flaps, I pressed the sound button on each page, gaining very different reactions to each! Her favourite was the cheeping chick which made her smile, but she also really enjoyed peering at herself in the mirror on the final page.

A switch on the back allows the noises to be turned on and off, not only making the battery last longer, but also meaning the book can be enjoyed without the sounds, perhaps when settling for a nap. Each sound lasts for quite a while, allowing the child to appreciate it and to join in.

As Esme is teething, a certain amount of dribbling took place which was easily wiped from the sturdy pages without any damage. What's That Noise? Cheep! was a great success and we will be looking for other titles in the 'What’s that Noise? series.
