Donna

Willow Wildthing loves nature, she loves messy tangled, untended wastelands, she loves natural habitats and adventure, she loves stories and games and using her wild imagination. She loves unstructured, natural fun. Along with the other Wild Things, she explores the hidden Wilderness, discovers a rival tribe and unearths the secrets of the sacred dragon's egg. What an adventure she has as she scrambles around in the magical world that is literally on her doorstep.

Gill Lewis' absolute love of nature and the natural world gushes and flows through Willow Wildthing and the Dragon's Egg like a raging river. She allows us to experience the seriously imaginative worlds of children as they explore their surroundings. She shows us the awe and wonder in the everyday. She opens our eyes to the beauty of our world and encourages us to just take a moment to appreciate what is right there in front of us before it is too late.

What a wonderful tale with distinct links to the Lost boys adventures in Peter Pan as well as those fabulous escapades of The Famous Five. A splendid dive into the simple-wonders of the world.

Links to nature, wildlife, habitats, friendship, illness, teamwork, story telling and imagination.
